Eulogies Continue for the Reiners as Medical Examiner's Findings Are Sealed.

More than two weeks subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of celebrated filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues continue to honor the duo.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, stated he just recently felt able to share openly about his personal sorrow.

"Adequate time has elapsed that I can finally put my grief into words," shared Elwes, noting that his initial encounter with Reiner made him fall in love. "As we began passing more hours together I understood this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor posted never-before-seen clips from the movie, commenting that he could not remember "one day without joy".

"This story is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Principles that Rob cherished deeply. That is part of the many reasons he was the ideal person to guide it," Elwes expressed.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, stating: "Claiming that they were a great team would be an understatement. My heart still pangs every time I think of you." He concluded with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Colleague and Comrade

In a separate tribute, revered director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the main character.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked beautifully with everyone, and he understood the human predicament of his character," Scorsese added.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Withheld

Recently, a Los Angeles court official ruled to bar the disclosure of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, after an appeal from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A judicial mandate issued a restriction on the investigation to limit the public release of "any investigative information, notes, reports or photos" associated with the ongoing investigation.

The relevant authority had previously confirmed their deaths were the result of foul play, with a official listing listing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Fallout and Commentary

In the wake of the killings, public figures shared divergent responses.

Ex-President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, offering provocative remarks that were met with immediate backlash by numerous commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his criticism to the detractors recently. Talking on his show, Rogan labeled the comments as "disturbing" and implied they demonstrated a troubling absence of compassion.

Rogan finished by remarking that an adviser ought to have stepped in when the impulse to comment on the tragedy was made.
