Plane Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Land in UK Due to Fracture in Cockpit Window

An aircraft carrying the US defense secretary was compelled to make an unscheduled landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday following a fracture was found in the aircraft's cockpit window, per an announcement which verified that the secretary was unharmed.

"The aircraft touched down following standard procedures and all individuals on the flight, among them Pete Hegseth, is safe," a spokesperson said in a online announcement.

Hegseth was returning from a quick journey to the Belgian capital at the time.

This event is not the initial instance that a US military aircraft transporting a senior official has encountered mechanical issues.

Months ago, a United States Air Force aircraft carrying Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was forced to return to Washington DC after encountering a mechanical fault.
